Los Angeles-born, Joshua Tree-based Rock group Flames Of Durga have announced the release of their new single, “Bicker,” accompanied by a music video. The track reflects the band’s interest in 90’s-inspired Garage Rock and is “an anthemic rallying cry for anyone who’s ever felt put down.” The accompanying music video was shot at Joe Rubenstein’s studio in the Burbank Hills.

Cecilia Romero, bassist and vocalist, says:

This was the first video we’ve done where we get drenched with water while playing our instruments! We had a blast—I even got down and dirty in the mud! The video includes everything from muddy scenes to being pulled on by masked ‘Bickerers,’ and it’s like nothing we’ve done before. I am very proud of it.

Her twin sister and bandmate, Béah Romero, adds:

We got dirty in literal mud, sprayed with cold water, head-banged in platform boots, and had a blast with our friends who helped make this video an awesome piece of art. I’m so proud of it and stoked to have our new song, ‘Bicker,’ out in the world.

The band, completed by drummer Nate Million, emerged after a life-altering car crash inspired them to pursue their artistic dreams.

Their self-titled debut album was recorded at Rancho de la Luna with producer Dave Catching (Queens of the Stoneage, Mojave Lords). The new single, “Bicker,” was recorded and produced by Alex Newport (L.S. Dunes, At The Drive-In, Bleached, Bloc Party) and the band will be hitting the road this Fall in support of the release.

Fans can look out for more singles in 2025 as the band works on their sophomore album.
