Spartan Records and Chris Simpson have announced the surprise release of Dream Homes, the Texas-based Indie-Rock veteran’s album under his Mountain Time moniker. The album brought in long-time creative collaborators and first time co-Producers Seth Woods (of The Whiskey Priest and Casita Records) and Alex Dupree, both of whom are singer/songwriters in their own right.

The album leads the listener through “a vast menagerie of dream-time landscapes.” The album is a tip of the hat to influences like The Innocence Mission and Big Star’s Third. 

Since his early days in the mid-’90s with Texas band Mineral, and the early-2000s’ more synth-based band The Gloria Record, Chris Simpson has continued to follow a personal trail with his Zookeeper and Mountain Time projects.
