Northern Californian Alt-Rock/Pop Punk trio StrateJacket have shared their new single “Dreamcatcher,” taken from the band’s debut album, Bad Start, out on October 11, 2024 via Edgeout. The single follows the band’s videos for “Bad Start” and “End of Time” and arrives ahead of their Bay Area performance on September 6 in Menlo Park at The Guild Theatre.
Having been inspired by The Wombats song “Moving To New York,” Jackson Roemers (lead vocals/guitar) says of the track:
I really liked the jangle pop vibe of the riff and wanted to do something a little different than the stuff we did on the rest of the album. There’s more of a groove in this song and it doesn’t come off as angry as some of our other ones tend to. Add in Fabian’s [Angel, vocals/bass] killer bass line and you get this little ditty.
The band’s upcoming debut album Bad Start follows their self-titled EP StrateJacket.
