Indie Folk-Punk and Alternative Rock band Soul Asylum have announced that their 13th studio album, Slowly But Shirley, will be arriving this Fall. For the new collection, they collaborated once again with producer Steve Jordan, who worked on their 1990 album And the Horse They Rode In On, and they recorded everything live at Terrarium Recording Studios in Minneapolis.
They say:
Slowly But Shirley covers the full spectrum of the Soul Asylum sound, from the raucous to the heartfelt, and you can get a taste of that from our new single, “High Road.”
The band adds:
With “High Road,” Dave spent years perfecting the arrangement, tinkering with the song, moving around different parts. It’s a ramshackle, Frankenstein kind of situation that hopefully finally makes sense! Hit the button to listen, and find us on socials to let us know if it does.

Soul Asylum are also doing extensive touring this summer and autumn supporting the new music and have recently announced a full raft of dates from September to November.
