Wicked Cool Records Reissues Palmyra Delran’s Debut ‘You Are What You Absorb’ On Turtle Green Vinyl

Wicked Cool Records has released a “Turtle Green” vinyl reissue of You Are What You Absorb, the 2013 12-track debut solo LP from “Trash-Pop” artist and Little Steven’s Underground Garage DJ Palmyra Delran.

Palmyra Delran, is an American rock and roll musician, songwriter, guitarist and Producer who played in 1990s Philadelphia-area Rock bands The Friggs and Pink Slip Daddy, as well as releasing several of her own solo albums and recordings with The Coolies and more.

Little Steven Van Zandt attended the Friggs’ 2008 NYC reunion show. After striking up a conversation with Palmyra, he learned of her new six-track solo EP She Digs the Ride. He added it to the Little Steven’s Underground Garage playlist. The EP was followed up in 2013 with You Are What You Absorb, Delran’s first full-length solo effort.

The album included the single “You’re My Brian Jones”, featuring a music video directed by Daniel Henry, and shot on location in Nashville. Little Steven continued his support of Delran’s work, voting “You’re My Brian Jones” his No. 1 song of the year.

Delran brings Rock and Soul to the people as host of Palmyra’s Trash-Pop Shindig on Little Steven’s Underground Garage channel, Monday and Tuesday afternoons 4pm – 7pm, Wednesday and Thursday evenings 8pm to midnight, with a weekend special, Palmyra’s Trash Pop Treasures, Saturday 8am and Sunday noon on SiriusXM 21.

She says:

I get to unleash the geek and not just bore my friends with music facts!

Palmyra Delran will appear on the first ever Little Steven’s Underground Garage Cruise, taking place in May 2025.
