Japanese musician Hakushi Hasegawa/長谷川白紙 (they/them) has shared a video for “Gone” featuring rapper Kid Fresino. The new video arrives ahead of their new album Mahōgakkō/魔法学校, their first full-length album for Brainfeeder, out July 24th, 2024. The video comes from longtime creative collaborator, Gauspel.

Like the previous Mahōgakkō singles, “Gone” doesn’t have a set form and that is also reflected in the video and its sense of motion.

Hasegawa shares their thoughts on the video:

This song is about my friction with time – leaving the past behind/being left behind by the future, which has always been wriggling inside of me, and I am grateful that Gauspel captured it so perfectly. I love the motif of running, because I feel it is the most efficient way to move, even though it is a chaos of transportation. (Yoroshiku Onegaishimasu).
