Nashville Country Rock outfit The Wild Feathers have returned with their first new music in close to three years, titled Sirens, arriving via New West Records on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Produced by 3x Grammy Award-winner Shooter Jennings (Brandi Carlile, Tanya Tucker, Turnpike Troubadours), Sirens is previewed by first single and video for “Sanctuary.”
The Wild Feathers co-founding singer/guitarist Ricky Young says:
‘Sanctuary’ is about standing up for yourself and not being the punching bag and safe place in a toxic relationship. It kind of encourages you to remember your self-worth and to love yourself. You can love somebody so much that you forget who you really are and I think that’s a place where a lot of people find themselves. It’s good to love somebody, but you can’t stop being happy in the process.
The Wild Feathers’ goal for their fifth studio album was to push beyond recreating demos and instead create something altogether new. With that in mind, band members Ricky Young, Joel King, Taylor Burns, Ben Dumas, and Brett Moore traveled 2,000 miles from their home base in Nashville to work with longtime friend Shooter Jennings at his Dave’s Room studios in North Hollywood, CA.

The Wild Feathers entered the studio with almost 30 rough draft song ideas and then developed them into a collection with Jennings, who calls the group “a collective of truly deep soulful musicians and writers who have come together and stayed together over the years.”
