Portland, Oregon-born Art-Rock band Death Doula have released “Loom,” a new track from their upcoming album. They have previously released the single “Disembark” and their debut album will arrive this Fall.

Kerry Jones and Kyle List were brought together by music and are joined by a veteran rhythm section with Keith Vidal on bass (Marjorie Faire, Nyles Lannon) and Adam Kozie on drums (Pollens, Crystal Beth) to perform as Death Doula.

Their new album, recorded at Jackpot Studios by Adam Lee (Built to Spill, Sleater-Kinney) and mixed by Bob Cheek, (Deftones, Band of Horses) builds on their shared love of artists like Can, Television, Jeff Buckley, The Cranberries, Deerhunter, Kate Bush, The Sundays and Deftones.

The album spans many age perspectives since Kerry and Kyle have an 11 year age difference. Keith and Kyle have a 22 year age difference.

Kerry says:

In a world so algorithmized it’s numb, we just want to make people feel something again.
