Dallas-based Dream-Pop band Secrecies has released their new album Perfect Bite via Idol Records. To celebrate the release, the band has shared a new video for their single and title track, “Perfect Bite,” which was directed, filmed, and edited by the band’s Shawn Magill and features live video footage by Larry Hill.
The video “invites you into a serene forest and a powerful and fragile ghostly cemetery, speaking to a journey through the complexities of longing, uncertainty, and loss.”
Shawn Magill, vocalist and guitarist, says:
“Perfect Bite” isn’t just a song; it’s a profound journey through the intricate maze of human desire. It reflects the eternal struggle between familiarity and the allure of the unknown. The track encapsulates the raw vulnerability of human emotions, portraying a world where desires clash with the need for seclusion.

Reflecting on the lyrical content, Magill says:
‘I moved away from my perfect light, and your words have that perfect bite,’ serves as a poignant reminder of the profound impact words can have – to either uplift or devastate. Yet, amidst the tumultuous sea of emotions, there exists a glimmer of hope, a promise of redemption.
