Cincinnati-based Indie Pop band Coastal Club will release their new EP, All of the Things You Said on July 19, 2024. They have revealed new single”conversation” from the upcoming release. The track brings together the joyous and the sombre as it grapples with “weighty themes of faith and disillusionment.”

On the song the band’s Alexandre Hirlinger says:

“conversation” ultimately emerges as a testament to the complexity of human experience, where the joyous rhythms of life often intertwine with the somber melodies of introspection. Its juxtaposition of upbeat instrumentation and sobering lyricism invites listeners to engage in a profound conversation with themselves, exploring the intricacies of belief and doubt that shape the human spirit.

For the upcoming EP, the band has ventured into deeper thematic territory, exploring topics such as “mental health, dissecting religion, and love lost.” They express this through a blend of guitar and synth sounds.

The project is “mostly an aural journal that, in writing, helped the band make sense of their religious upbringing, and why we chose to believe the things we were taught from a young age.” However, the project also features songs that deal with “finding love and resolution.”
