New Hampshire-based Heavy music band Great American Ghost has announced their signing to SharpTone Records and the release of “Hymn Of Decay,” their first new song and video since 2022.

Produced by Will Putney at Graphic Nature Audio in NJ, their latest track is the first piece of music written as their new and current lineup with vocalist Ethan Harrison and guitarist Niko Gasparrini joined by Grayson Stewart on guitar and Anthony Laur on bass.

“Hymn Of Decay” evokes “an overwhelming sense of anguish” and continues the band’s exploration of Heavy alternative music, including Progressive Metal and Metalcore and melodic elements.

Harrison states:

‘Hymn Of Decay’ is a deeply personal song to me. It’s a direct reflection of something that I’m experiencing right now with a loved one; dementia. I tried to put myself in their psyche, to understand what they were going through, and with that this song was written.

Great American Ghost is built on the belief that “nothing is off limits or taboo.” The band is currently on the road with The Ghost Inside, Paleface Swiss, and Bleed From Within.
