Middle Child Syndrome is the project of Matt Mueller which has recently released the single “Slate“. The single heralds the album Listen To Me that arrives in June 2024 and tells the story of a widowed farmer’s reflections at his wife’s grave.

“Slate” features steel guitar and piano, and Mueller played all instruments as well as contributing Production.

Mueller takes an “ultra-DIY approach” to his work in order to build an “organic and immersive listener experience”.

Mueller’s formal education and career are in mechanical engineering, but after a number of years in that profession, Mueller left to “fully commit” to his musical journey.
