Los Angeles singer/songwriter Lily Kershaw has announced that her new album Pain & More will be released on September 13, 2024. The album’s title Pain & More refers to “the many incarnations of the prolonged, persistent depression” that Lily Kershaw has masked from others for decades.

Her third album, Pain & More is the first in which she was “able to reach a quiet” within, allowing her to speak more truthfully with these songs.

Kershaw explains:

I’ve been struggling for so long. This record is like a new cycle of my life.

She has also released a new single called “Poem Song,” the first she specifically wrote with this concept album. The song “came out as a nine-minute stream of consciousness poem-like song.”

Lily Kershaw says:

‘Poem Song’ is a song about self-acceptance, and how maybe self-acceptance is actually the truest form of rebellion, of healing.

Kershaw’s songs have appeared on Criminal Minds, Grey’s Anatomy, Finding Carter, and more. She has toured alongside Radical Face, Mason Jennings, The Weepies and Joshua Radin, to name a few.
