Folk/Blues guitarist/songwriter Chris Smither has shared his interpretation of Tom Petty’s “Time To Move On“ from Wildflowers.
Smither says:
It’s just a great song by a guy who had an uncanny knack for turning out pop hits that don’t sound like they’re meant to be pop hits.
“Time To Move On” also features longtime colleague/producer David “Goody” Goodrich on guitar. It’s taken from Smither’s upcoming album, All About The Bones.
The album features Zak Trojano’s drumming and BettySoo’s harmony vocals, as well as Jazz artist Chris Cheek’s saxophone.
Smither turns 80 this year, but his tour schedule, including dates at the Iridium in New York City, Levon Helm’s studio in Woodstock and two nights at McCabe’s in Los Angeles, shows he has no intention of slowing down.
