Los Angeles Garage Rock band The Drives have release their newest single “Overeducated”, available now via UnderCurrent. The Drives prefer to avoid metaphors and instead “bluntly air out their grievances with life.” “Overeducated” explores the feeling of not knowing what to do with their lives.
Frontman Andrew Levin comments:
This song is about how completely lost and directionless I was in my college and post-college years. I remember feeling like I was on this trajectory in school that was leading to the rest of my life, but it wasn’t what I wanted. It was a time in my life where I felt like I was going along with someone else’s plan. I basically had no idea what I wanted in my life. This song is basically about the headspace I was in during that time.
In their home of Los Angeles, the band also recently stopped by Jam In The Van for a live session. They currently produce and record everything out of their home studio in Highland Park, Los Angeles.

The end of 2021 saw The Drives return to playing live shows and the release of their debut EP This Might Take A While. In the time since, the band has been diligently working in their home studio to put together their second EP.
