Tucker Woods, a duo comprising vocalist, guitarist and songwriter Chris Hurd and bassist Brian Motel, have released their new album, Sunshine Blues. The duo has also released their new single, “Somersault, ” which is a “look at what it can feel like to lose your mental footing occasionally.”
Sunshine Blues blends Rock ‘n’ Roll influences with modern sensibilities, but it faced some roadbloacks getting made. Originally slated to be recorded at Tone House Studio, unforeseen circumstances forced the duo to relocate the recording process in order to engineer and co-Producer Warren Trunz’s grandmother’s house, where they completed the remainder of the album.

Hurd reflects:
Every tune on a record reflects the time and place they were written… it’s more about what’s changed since. It’s about a journey. I hope [‘Sunshine Blues’] shows a different side to the band and to me as a songwriter.
