Texas-based Gost has released their album Prophecy via Metal Blade Records. Blending Black Metal and Electronic music, Gost released their first EP in 2013, and are led by multi-instrumentalist and Producer James Lollar. The single and video for “Leviathan” are also out now.

Prophecy is a record that “reflects the horror and grim anxieties of a world beset with religious and political overreach” and progress “being rolled back to the fucking 1950s.” Prophecy was recorded by Lollar alone in Texas during a burst of creativity at the end of 2022.

Following the experimentation and more melodic aspects of 2019‘s Valediction, for Lollar, the record has aspects of a “return to older roots, to recapture the spirit of GOST.” Prophecy is available on CD and digital formats as well as vinyl in several color variants.
