New album Part Time Believer has been released by multi-platinum Alternative band The Strumbellas via Underneath a Mountain Records/The Orchard. They’ve also released a new video for “Steal My Soul,” the latest track from the band.
The Strumbellas share about the new album:
‘Part Time Believer’ is an album about the half truths we believe and the whole truths we believe half the time. There’s so many things we tell ourselves–about what we’re capable of, why we should keep going, and why we have so much to be grateful for–that we struggle to truly believe. The songs are about getting knocked down and getting back up again, about how it feels to keep fighting when half your brain is telling you to stop.
Reflecting on the creative process, the band further adds:
We wrote these songs together alongside friends old and new. As with all our albums, there was no concept or big idea for the album beforehand. Just a singular focus on making each song as compelling as it could be. We are obsessive about trying to remove anything that gets in the way of a good song. We hope these songs hit as hard for people listening as they do for us, and we’re so grateful that people want to hear new music and come to our shows. We know we’re the luckiest band in the world, but we only believe it part of the time.
In support of the album , The Strumbellas have just kicked-off their North American Part Time Believer Tour making stops in Calgary, Montreal, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, Nashville, Austin, Los Angeles, Portland, Denver, Chicago, and more.

When live touring came to a standstill, The Strumbellas put their energy into perfecting this album. Out of their sessions came nearly 50 tracks, which the band, now with Jimmy Chauveau on board as lead vocalist, whittled down to the 12 found on Part Time Believer.
Shepherding the recording process along was producer Ben Allen (Gnarls Barkley, Kaiser Chiefs, Walk the Moon), with additional tracks produced by Keith Varon (Machine Gun Kelly, Lindsey Stirling), Stevie Aiello (Thirty Seconds To Mars), and Dave Schiffman (RHCP, The Killers, Adele).
