Lost Angeles-based French Art-Pop duo Faux Real have released new single, “Rent Free,” available now via City Slang Records. The song arrives alongside an official music video that was directed, produced, styled, and edited by Faux Real.
Faux Real’s Virgile and Elliott Arndt comment:
In ‘Rent Free,’ hope flirts with despair, and the rain makes way for the rave. It’s a euphoric lament on the fragility of love, and the solace of dancing with total abandon.
“Rent Free” heralds Faux Real’s debut album, Faux Ever, arriving via City Slang on Friday, May 24, 2024. The new album explores themes of “heartbreak, labor, and the home.”
Recorded between Paris, New York, London, Los Angeles, and Provence, Faux Ever moves the duo further into Pop for their “existential sonic pastiche.”

Virgile Arndt adds:
Our sound has never been more personal. The method to this specific madness has been one of constant change, with our studio locale never fixed, always more minimal than the last. Faux Ever is a reflection on art, brotherhood, authenticity, faults and triumphs.
Faux Real will celebrate Faux Ever with an international schedule that includes dates in Paris, Berlin, London, and Austin, TX.
