Australian Alt-Rock band Bones and Jones have released their new EP In Blue. The project arrives ahead of the band’s shows at SXSW 2024, marking their first appearance in the US this year.
During their showcases, Bones and Jones will play songs from In Blue, including “Need It” and “Simple Passion”, both of which were released as singles at the end of last year.
Additionally, the band will debut new tracks such as “Every Morning” and “In Ya Nature.” On In Blue, Bones and Jones lean into Indie Rock following the fusion of Folk and Garage in their previous work.
Formed during high school in the Victorian town Geelong and now based out of an old apple orchard on the Victorian surf coast/Wathaurong Country, Bones and Jones “draw inspiration from the landscape that surrounds them as well as their decade-long friendships within the band.”
The band’s second album Ginger Gold (Farm Singles) was nominated for the Australian Music Prize and Victorian Music Awards.

Having opened for bands including King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Angel Olsen, Crumb, Twin Peaks, Mdou Moctar, The Murlocs, The Nude Party, and Drugdealer, Bones and Jones are currently taking their live show across their homeland of Australia, opening for Melbourne trio The Grogans.
