Northpark’s “Ink” Dramatizes The Importance And Power Of Writing And Music

Northpark is an emerging Canadian Pop Punk band from north of Toronto, Ontario. Formed in late 2022, they bring together years of experience, various music talents, genres, and skills in this new team up. They have recently released the single “Ink.” The track was recorded and mixed by AC Studios and mastered by Kris Crummett.

The band says:

Ink” is about a protagonist taking a stand against an antagonist by pushing forward with their life and removing the emotional control the antagonist had over them. “Cut deep with words but I got my pen” symbolizes the positive and powerful effects of expressing thoughts and feelings through music and writing. “I’ll spill the ink, I’ll cut you out, I’ll come to grips that you don’t hear a sound,” represents the inability the antagonist has to comprehend or take accountability for past situations resulting in the protagonist finally realizing this and deciding to cut emotional ties.

Northpark is made up of lifelong friends, previous co-workers, and friends from the local music scene. They know feel that they have become a family, which “fuels the fire behind the writing, growth, and movements of the band.” Their debut album Wasteland is out now and the band has been working on new music.
