Ginny Luke & Orianthi Team Up For Fierce Title Track To ‘Devil At My Heels’

Ginny Luke is an electric violinist and vocalist who has delivered the title track from her upcoming album, Devil At My Heels. The track is out now from KZZ Music/Blue Élan Records, and is a “duel” between Luke and fellow female artist and guitarist Orianthi, best known for her work with Michael Jackson and Alice Cooper.

Luke had previously presented live and recorded performances alongside Meatloaf, as well as artists such as Hozier, AJR and Avril Lavigne.

Luke says:

The Electric Violin is the instrument of the album. It’s synonymous with my voice.

Crediting her work with Producers Dave Darling (Glen Campbell, The Temptations) and Zackary Darling (Eric Gales, John 5), Luke expanded her vocal expression for this album.

She adds:

I wrote this song so I could feel powerful listening to it. My whole life, the violin has been a symbol of refinement and beauty and manners – and I just want to defy that a little bit. I love embracing my feminine side, but I also want to embrace my masculine side and produce a loud, gritty, dirty tone.

Orianthi shares:

Ginny is such a badass, and it was so much fun laying down some leads on this track. What an awesome vocalist and violin player.

Orianthi came out to Dave’s Room in Los Angeles to record live with Luke and her band.

About the album, Luke comments:

I just want people to know how fierce they can be, so I wrote this music to unite people through that energy and resilience. Because I needed music like this to feel my own power and work through my own challenges.
