Danish Metallic Hardcore group Lifesick have released new EP Love And Other Lies, and to celebrate its arrival, they have also revealed a video for single “Reverse Birth,” featuring a guest vocal appearance by Nails‘ Todd Jones.

Vocalist/lyricist Simon Shoshan (aka Simon Sorrow) shares about the single:

This is from personal experience. I have a lot of ADHD and from time to time, I deal with stress, depression, and anxiety. I went to a psychiatrist to get help and the first ’doctor‘ I spoke with gave me the feeling that I just wasn‘t trying enough and that I just felt too bad for myself. So that gave me the best mindset to write these lyrics and I think they speak for themselves.

Formed in 2015, Lifesick works with lyrics inspired by “the turbulent nature of life.” Musically influenced by Swedish Death Metal, Lifesick combines heaviness with modern breakdowns.

Love And Other Lies serves as the followup to the band‘s 2022-issued Misanthropy LP and features three new tracks, “Every Unpleasant Emotion,” “Rude Awakening” (feat. Mark Whelan of Fuming Mouthand), “Reverse Birth” (feat. Todd Jones of Nails). They were produced by Jacob Bredahl at Dead Rat Studio in Aarhus, mixed by Jacob Bredahl, mastered by Brad Boatright at Audiosiege.
