Montana-based Americana artist Amanda Stewart has shared a new track from her forthcoming five-track holiday EP, Since It’s Christmas. The release of “A Long December” coincides with the 27 year anniversary of the original recording by Counting Crows (December 2, 1996).

Comprised of three originals and two covers and succeeds the release of her 12-track album, Venom which arrived in July.

Growing up in the mountains of Montana, where she encountered Americana, Folk and Country music.

Stewart shares:

Montana is a hidden gem full of all sorts of genres of music. That paired with the slower pace of life compared to other cities I’ve lived in like Seattle, gave me the figurative and literal space for self-reflection.
