Swedish Symphonic Metal band Therion have unveiled the first single and video for “Twilight of the Gods” from their upcoming album, Leviathan III, out December 15, 2023 via Napalm Records. With the new album, the band fulfill their planned Leviathan trilogy.
With more than 35 of making music behind them, the band set out to deliver epic and symphonic Metal for “Twilight of the Gods”, seeking “a harmonious and balanced blend between guitars, choirs and orchestra.”
On the new album, we can expect an emphasis on “the magnificent and theatrical,” often blurring the boundaries of Metal and Classical music.
