The Sleeping Breaks 13 Year Silence With Post-Punk Influenced Album ‘I Feel Like I’m Becoming A Ghost’

The Sleeping, made up of Douglas Robinson (vocals), Joe Zizzo (drums), Sal Mignano (bass), and Cameron Keym (guitar/keys), have returned with their first album in thirteen years, I Feel Like I’m Becoming A Ghost, out now.

For the new album, the band have taken their Post-Hardcore and Alternative roots and blended them with a Post-Punk influence.

Preparing for the release of their fifth album, the band wanted to turn it back to the fans and launched a Kickstarter to self-release the record. The response allowed them to hit their goal in just ten days.

Heading into writing I Feel Like I’m Becoming a Ghost, The Sleeping’s only goal was “to make a high energy, refreshing record based off the natural chemistry of the band.” Venturing into Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY, it only took them two weeks to write and record the ten songs that appear on the record.

I Feel Like I’m Becoming a Ghost was produced by the band alongside Mike Birnbaum and Chris Bittner (Coheed & Cambria, Medeski, Team Sleep) and mastered by Chris Athens (Beastie Boys, Blink 182).
