Ok Wait Moves Into Noise Rock, Shoegaze, And More With ‘Signal’

The Hamburg, Germany trio OK WAIT continues to employ wordless music to say something new following their 2022 debut album Well. Their new album Signal takes things even further by departing from Post Rock, making way for more Noise Rock, Shoegaze, Doom, and even “a pinch” of Black Metal. The new collection arrives on June 30th, 2023, from Golden Antenna Records.

The album Signal is described as “more brittle, ugly, brute and serious” than its predecessor, but still focuses on storytelling. In place of a few long epics there are now nine shorter, more diverse tracks.

The album was recorded by Peter Voigtmann (The Ocean) at Die Mühle, mixed by Scott Evans (Kowloon Walled City) and mastered by Magnus Lindberg (Cult Of Luna).
