Cincinnati-based Alternative Rock quartet The Heavy Hours have released their new self-titled album via BMG. The album was recorded in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York and produced by Simone Felice (The Lumineers, Matt Maeson, The Avett Brothers) and David Baron. The latest single from the album, “You Say My Name” arrived alongside a video.
The band took to Instagram on release day to share the following:
“Happy birthday y’all. Our sophomore self-titled album has been all-the-buzz for months and months… now that we’re done name-dropping celebrity collabs & co-writes, it’s time to finish the party here in Ohio where the story began. It’s been a strange and dream-like journey for us boys; the effort and distance we went to make this album happen, the nights away from loved ones, the carbohydrates and added sugars pumped into our veins at every opportunity… these songs aren’t for us y’all – they are purely for you, whoever you may be.
A few very special tunes get released tonight for the first time. Some of these tracks may never make it on to a live set so, enjoy them and take care of them.
Lots and lots of love,
Especially to those of you who we do not know personally, who choose to listen to our music.
And especially to those of you who see how the sausage is made – the behind-the-scenes back-breakers who put up with our shit and clean up our messes.
We’re grateful we get to release a record as friends – if you like it, that’s a bonus.”

This new self-titled release marks the follow up to the group’s Gardens album which arrived in 2022.
To date, The Heavy Hours have performed and toured with the likes of Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats, The Brook and The Bluff, Fitz and the Tantrums, Wilderado Motherfolk, Brett Dennen, Big Head Todd and the Monsters, Galactic and more.
