Høstsol Bring An Early 90s Sound To Debut Album ‘Länge Leve Döden’

The Sinister Initiative has partnered with Avantgarde Music to release the debut album of Scandinavian Black Metal project Høstsol. Members include Cernunnus (Manes), Kalmos (ex-Barathrum), Rainer Tuominkanto (Ajattara) and Niklas Kvarforth (Shining). The album is titled Länge Leve Döden, Swedish for “Long Live Death” and was molded and recorded by Metal veterans working since the 90s in the genre.

The band consists of musicians from Sweden, Norway and Finland, drawing on all aspects of Northern Black Metal. The album will arrive on CD, LP, and digital platforms on January 13th, 2023.

Høstsol shares:

‘Länge Leve Döden’ is our monumental celebration of the great Lord of Death. A perfect alignment of five songs that were written during an awful, unhealthy process over the course of two years. Expect Black Metal the way it used to feel and sound back in the early nineties, and rejoice!

The album was mastered by another Metal longtimer, Andy LaRocque (King Diamond).
