Nu Deco Ensemble Highlights Erich Korngold’s Cinematic Sound With “Much Ado About Nothing”

Miami-based Nu Deco Ensemble, led by Jacomo Bairos and Sam Hyken, have revealed a musical suite that features Austrian composer Erich Korngold. Nu Deco recorded the performance at the Miami Beach Bandshell on January 22nd, 2022.

Nu Deco CEO and co-founder, Jacomo Bairos explains:

Erich Korngold, a child prodigy and musical genius, is most known for his trailblazing compositions where he created the lush “Cinematic Sound” of Hollywood. He’s inspired many film composers, most notably John Williams, and is also one of the most underrated classical composers of the 20th century. Having an opportunity to shine a light on this iconic composer through his incidental composition based on Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” was an absolute joy. This music is fun, virtuosic, lyrical, and full of a cinematic sweep. We are grateful to be able to bring more attention to Korngold and share this beautiful suite of music with you all!
