New York City Black Metal collective Black Anvil will be releasing their fifth full-length album, Regenesis, on November 4, 2022 via Season of Mist, which is also their debut with the label. In conjunction with the announcement, the band has shared first single “Castrum Doloris,” along with a “disorienting visualizer”.

A reckoning of the final order avoiding the tunnel vision of fear when releasing into the void & utmost holy channel. Wear the funeral crown with pride thus-forth.
Black Anvil’s fifth full-length, Regenesis, is named very intentionally to represent their movement to a new record label with a new album, and a “newfound exploration of dark and black Metal”.

The concept is renewal, as well as the process/journey to get here outgrowing our past. Black Anvil has always been a departure from our past, a vehicle for us to grow as individuals, like a snake constantly shedding its skin. We don’t look back, but never forget.
Black Anvil will be supporting Cannibal Corpse along with Dark Funeral and Immolation later this year on tour. The tour will kick off in early November. The band will also be performing at the Denver, CO edition of Decibel Magazine’s Metal & Beer Fest on December 2nd, 2022.
