Singer/songwriter and frontman Louis Emory along with a group of New York musicians known as The Reckless Few, have revealed their forthcoming six-track project EP, Love Italy. Set for release on October 21, 2022, the EP brings together the bandmates’ various sounds to create “an ode to a place that reignited Emory’s creative flame” and takes the form of Americana-infused Rock.

Multi-instrumentalists Bob Boyer and Tim Lynch (The Recording Company) took part alongside Producer, audio engineer and mixer Shelly Yakus, who polished and co-mixed the tracks.

Emory comes from an Italian-American household and was finally able to visit Italy in 2017. This first trip ignited a deep passion for Italian history and culture, and he began reading books about the Renaissance, art, architecture, the Medici, and the history of Florence, Venice, and Rome.

When the COVID-19 pandemic began, Emory was particularly saddened by how hard Italy was hit. It was during this time that he first began writing about it, not yet planning to create an entire EP.

He comments:

Italy was an epiphany. My travels, the art, architecture, food, the wonderful people, and the way they revered their artists were eye-opening. Once Italy shut down I was longing to get back but also wanted to give something back — to show my gratitude for relighting the creative fires within and for making me feel at home.

Louis Emory and The Reckless Few plan to release “Florence in the Fall” on August 26th, 2022, along with a video. Many of the songs on the EP are dedicated to specific cities, as well as to seasons and moods.
