Deb Morrison is a member of the all-female Southern California Roots supergroup The Wild West and is also known for her Americana band, Morrison & Company. She has announced that she’ll be releasing her debut solo album The North Fork on September 9th, 2022 via Blackbird Record Label. Though the album draws in elements of Morrison’s own travels growing up as a military kid, it also emphasizes her fondness for Californian scenery and ghost-town landscapes.
Produced by Nic Capelle of Rockton Road, The North Fork was recorded on the outskirts of Los Angeles and its title title is a nod to the town located at the convergence of the North and South Forks of the American River that’s Morrison’s home base.
Morrison shares:
This album is like reading a paper trail I left for myself. I never really had a hometown because I was a military brat. I’m from everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Of all the places I’ve lived nothing captured my heart and soul like the little river town of Folsom and the people in it.
Morrison will be supporting the release by returning to the road joined by her Morrison & Company bandmates: guitarists Matt Littell and Spencer Kelly, pedal steel player Charlie Peter-son, and drummer Joel Domantay.
