Fantastic Cat is made up of Anthony D’Amato, Don DiLego, Brian Dunne, Mike Montali, and Hollis Brown. Collectively, they create a Rock and Roll cooperative greater than the sum of its parts. That collaborative spirit made the band a great fit for artist collective Blue Rose Music. They’ll release their debut album, The Very Best Of Fantastic Cat, on July 29th, 2022. They’ve revealed the single and video “The Gig” which features a concert cruise they’ve booked which turns out to be rush hour on the Staten Island Ferry.
Brian Dunne comments:
‘The Gig’ is a sardonic take on following your dream into darkness and watching it turn into a nightmare. It’s completely autobiographical – I could name you the specific venues that are referenced in the song (but I won’t because of legal issues). But more than anything, it’s about not knowing where your life is going and what happens when the show runs off without you.

“The Gig” follows lead single “C’mon Armageddon,” which had a surreal music video starring actor Marc Geller, who you may recognize as Kier Eagan from the Apple TV+ show Severance.
