Sacramento-based musician Caregiver, the new project Lindsey Bitson, has been reflecting on heartache, substance abuse, and self-discovery and the result is her debut album titled Bathing in Yesterday’s Fires which arrives this Friday, June 17th, from Park the Van. The album features Production by Jon Joseph for a “cleansing resolution”.

Singles from the album include “Everything” and “Reason”. “Reason” was inspired by a relationship that Bitson ended.

She explains:

I sabotaged a relationship to avoid being hurt. Such an ironic characteristic, self-sabotage. It creates the exact thing I fear. When we reconnected, it was as if he could see right through me. There was nothing left for us. If I hadn’t been so distant and destructive, maybe things could have worked out differently. We swung outside on hammocks on opposing sides of his porch and it felt like goodbye. That week I wrote “Reason”.

Lindsey (Vocals, Guitar) is accompanied by keyboard from Anthony D’lallo, drums from Nick Danneo, and Bass from Noah Cole.
