Jabberwockies is North Carolinian artist Wes Collins’ third record and represents ten songs from a batch of over thirty written since late 2017. Collins wrote most of the songs on Jabberwockies “in character,” so even though you might catch the occasional hint of his North Carolina accent in these songs, he hasn’t “seen Medusa at the local bar or worked for the Forestry Service”. The album will arrive on June 3rd, 2022. You can preorder the CD and the Deluxe Package.
Collins recorded Jabberwockies with Chris Rosser at Hollow Reed Arts Studio in Asheville, NC, featuring Rosser on keyboards, River Guerguerian on drums and percussion, FJ Ventre on bass, and Scott Dameron on most of the songs. Jaimee Harris, Crystal Hariu-Damore and Pete Damore of Ordinary Elephant, and Barry Gray also stepped up to the mic.
