Mothé Turns Their House Into “Weird Party Spot” For “Somewhere In Your Dreams” Video

Following the recent release of their debut album, Alternative artist Mothé has debuted their new music videoSomewhere In Your Dreams.” The album I Don’t Want You To Worry Anymore is out now via Slowlab Records and features recent single “Terrified” as well as songs from Mothé’s 2021 EP Summer’s Almost Gone.

On the new video, Mothé shares:

We’ve been working on a super low budget for all of this, and interacting with that limitation has been an interesting challenge. When we had the opportunity to turn my house into a weird party spot I was pretty excited, I loved seeing the disco balls and lights all over an area I was so familiar with as a cozy and neutral home. The video mostly highlights the duality of how I live indoors and how I live when I leave my house, but it felt unique to put the outside life in my home for the first time.

Fans can look forward to hearing the new music live for the first time as Mothé hits the road later this year with The Wrecks. The Better Than Ever Tour kicks off on June 10th and includes stops in San Francisco, Denver, Chicago, New York, Boston, Nashville, Los Angeles, and more.

Mothé started after Spencer Fort (they/she) moved to Los Angeles in 2019 as the solo project they make in conjunction with collaborative producer Robert Adam Stevenson. Both a natural follow-on from the band Fort was previously in, Houston, TX’s Moth Wings, and a “sharp left turn” at the same time, the pair initially joined forces while working at Mikal Blue’s Revolver Recordings studio in LA, where they were writing for other artists. They then completed Mothé’s first EP, 2020’s Cindi, and the 12 tracks that comprise debut album I Don’t Want You To Worry Anymore.
