Kip Berman, former singer/songwriter of The Pains of Being Pure at Heart released his debut album as The Natvral back in April 2021, Tethers, via Kanine Records. Now he has teamed up with frequent collaborator Jen Goma on a cover of The Byrds’ classic song “The Ballad of Easy Rider” and has announced December tour dates with Annie Hart of Au Revoir Simone.

Berman’s first solo record as The Natvral, Tethers, with a “broken Folk Rock sound” marked a departure from his previous work and was recorded over 7 days with producer Andy Savours (My Bloody Valentine, Black Country New Road, The Pains of Being Pure at Heart). Throughout, Berman is supported by former TPOBPAH collaborators Jacob Sloan (bass), Brian Alvarez (drums), Sarah Chihaya (backing vocals) and Crystal Stilts/Woods Kyle Forester (organ).
Berman comments on creating as The Natvral:
“I always wanted to know the fullness of life – and I didn’t want to be a tour guide at my own museum.”
