Indie-Folk artist Aisha Badru focuses on building “atmospheric soundscapes deeply rooted in nature, spirituality, family and homecoming”. Her new EP, The Way Back Home is due out December 3rd via Nettwerk Records. Ahead of that release, she had shared new single Rooted,” which celebrates a process of “spiritual transformation”.

The new song springs from a restless period followed by settling down with her young family in Florida. She explains, “I never really had roots. We’re planting seeds and starting a garden. This is home. I’ve never felt this sense of home.”

Since releasing her debut album Pendulum, Aisha relocated from Yonkers, NY to her current home outside Orlando, where she focuses on living sustainably and practices permaculture. She is also using her platform to amplify environmentalism, teaming up with Nettwerk Records to plant trees with pre-saves of the albums & singles via a donation to the non-profit, One Tree Planted.
