Blood of the Saints was originally recorded with Fredrik Nordström and Henrik Udd at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden and its release in 2011 landed the band on the German charts and started their global roll out that continues today.

Powerwolf’s Matthew Greywolf explains in the liner notes to the new edition:

“Looking back at the era of ‘Blood of the Saints’ it was an intense and wonderful time in which we learned a lot, had the chance to expand our touring activities and indeed found a lot of new listeners both with the release of the album as well as on tour.”
