Tokyo Police Club Takes To The Road For 10th Anniversary Of ‘Champ’

Canadian quartet Tokyo Police Club are finally hitting the road for their twice delayed Champ 10 tour, celebrating the 10th anniversary of their sophomore album, which they will perform in full each night of the tour. Champ was also issued for the first time on vinyl, along with an expanded digital version in March 2021, distributed via Mom + Pop (U.S./Mex./Aus.), Dine Alone (Can.) and Memphis Industries (UK/EU). The tour kicks off October 25 in Detroit and wraps November 19 in New York City.

The backstory behind the original composition of Champ includes the fact that the band scrapped an entire early version of the record because it didn’t “sound as big” as they’d hoped. Now, with the resurgence of vinyl repressings we get a new incarnation of Champ a decade later. This new version of Champ features a song we haven’t heard before: “Hundred Dollar Day”.
