Greer’s New ‘Happy People’ EP Will Lean In To Power Pop

California Rock quartet Greer have announced new EP Happy People due out November 5th from Epitaph Records, an effort that promises to lean in Power Pop directions. The 4 track collection has been Produced by John Congelton (Wallows, St. Vincent, Angel Olsen), and the lead single and title track “Happy People” has been released alongside a new video.

The Power-Pop directions on Greer’s new EP are said to be down to influences like Elvis Costello and Big Star. Thematically, we’ll find elements that are relatable from the COVID-19 pandemic on the EP, but the band hopes to strike a more universal chord as well.

Bassist Seth describes the title track as:

“…a self-reflection on bitterness and resentment, and trying to become a better person out of it. I’ve struggled with feeling easily angered by a lot of things, especially given what we experienced in quarantine, so writing this song was a therapeutic experience.”

Greer recently wrapped up a run of shows opening for The Flaming Lips and they’ve followed that by announcing a West Coast Fall Tour with the following dates:
