Rock band Against the Current are celebrating their 15th anniversary with the new release, “Heavenly,” produced by Josh Gilbert from the band Spiritbox. The track shows an evolution in the band’s sound, blending darker sonic textures. 

“Heavenly” is also accompanied by a lyric video that “visually captures the song’s intensity and emotional core.” 

Lead singer Chrissy Costanza says:

‘Heavenly’ is the realization that the fall from grace is liberation. After balancing on a knife’s edge atop a pedestal others put you on, the moment of letting everyone down becomes the first gasp of fresh air after a lifetime of holding your breath.

The collaboration with producer Josh Gilbert bridged the gap between Alternative Rock and modern Metal, bringing to life their “anthem of release and self-reclamation.”
