Yttling Jazz’s Expanded Deluxe Edition Of ‘Illegal Hit’ Features Two Additional Disks Of New Material And Collaborations

Yttling Jazz has announced Illegal Hit (Out of Bounds), an expanded deluxe version of the 2025 album Illegal Hit, which will arrive this week on March 27, 2026, via YEAR0001. Along with the news, the artist has released the single “Strange,” which features Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream.

Spanning three discs, the release features five brand new songs, new and extended versions of original tracks, two instrumentals, and guest appearances from Yukimi of Little Dragon, Matt Sweeney, The Tallest Man On Earth, El Perro Del Mar, and more.

Disc 1 is the original Illegal Hit album in full. Disc 2 features all new material, including five previously unreleased songs, including vocal pieces and instrumentals. Disc 3 collects previously released remakes and collaborative reinterpretations of tracks from the original album.

Led by Björn Yttling, known for his work as one third of Indie trio Peter Bjorn and John, alongside his Production and songwriting career, Yttling Jazz is his long-standing Jazz project and creative home.

Illegal Hit has earned a Swedish Grammy nomination for Best Jazz. The project is filtered through decades of work across Pop, Indie, and Alternative music with artists including Lykke Li, Robyn, Franz Ferdinand, Primal Scream, Chrissie Hynde, First Aid Kit, The Hives, Sarah Blasko, and many others.

Björn Produced and co-wrote several albums for Primal Scream including Beautiful Future and Chaosmosis (“Where The Light Gets In” feat. Sky Ferreira), making “Strange” a natural reunion.
