Dutch Rock band Iguana Death Cult announced their fourth long playing album, Guns Out, due for release April 10th, 2026, via Greenway Records and The Reverberation Appreciation Society. The single and video for “Reckless Running” are out now, a song that considers the impact of escapism.

Guns Out features “honest self-reflection, addressing escapism, mental strain, and creative renewal.” The result channels their early Punk and Garage roots.

The band says of “Reckless Running”:

Old habits die hard they say, and for the longest time I was a habitual escapist. Running away from my problems, doing the same shit expecting different outcomes. Got me stuck in a self induced groundhog’s day of sorts. Even though now I’ve found my bearings in life, I sometimes get drawn back into those darker echelons.

On Guns Out, Iguana Death Cult is self-reflective, breaking with the more indie, “art-punk-funk” sound of their previous album, Echo Palace, and returning to a punchy Garage Rock style. They put this down to “evolution” and coming to terms with “the turbulent world” they face.
