Los Angeles-based artist, singer-songwriter, Producer, and multi-instrumentalist Anna Margo has announced her new EP, Swings to be released June 5th, 2026. As a preview she has released the second single off the EP, “Selfish”.
Anna Margo says:
I wrote Selfish about the narrative people create when you finally stop shrinking for them. The song explores that moment where guilt turns into clarity, and you realize that protecting yourself and your peace might make you the “bad guy” in someone else’s story. It sits in that uncomfortable space where you’ve tried everything to make something work, but the healthiest choice is simply walking away. I wanted it to feel both confrontational and freeing. Musically, this was such a fun one to produce. My very talented friend Juleus Cornelius created the main guitar riff that runs through the entire song, and I built everything else around it. It’s a brilliant chord progression, and the melody came to me almost instantly the first time I heard it. There’s something really nostalgic about the sound to me, and I hope people connect with it as much as I do.

Following her collaboration with producer Timbaland on her debut EP If You’re Still There, Anna Margo takes the reigns with upcoming EP Swings. The project expands on the theme of “encouraging listeners to tune out the noise and move in rhythm with the universe.”
Born to immigrant parents from Armenia via Brazil, Anna Margo is classically trained in piano, has extensive vocal experience, and taught herself guitar, Production, and songwriting. Her music blends left-of-center R&B with raw self-reflection.
Swing was mixed and mastered by Grammy-nominated engineer Koen Heldens (XXXTentacion, Trippie Redd, Doja Cat).
