Jeff Cohen’s “Boat On A River” Steps Away From The Noise Of Life For A Moment

Nashville-based, 6-time BMI Award-winning and Grammy-nominated songwriter/Producer Jeff Cohen has released his new single “Boat On A River.”

The track features background vocals from actress and singer Bethany Joy Lenz (One Tree Hill), former Atlantic Records artist Toby Lightman, and AJ Dean-Revington of UK Americana band The Wandering Hearts.

Produced by Cohen, the single was engineered by Brad Hill (Maren Morris, Brothers Osborne) and Fraser Watt, mixed by Buckley Miller, and mastered by Mike Monseur.

Cohen is best known for penning songs recorded by artists including The Band Perry (“Postcard From Paris”), Big & Rich (“Holy Water”), Evan and Jaron (“Crazy For This Girl”), and The Shires (“1000 Hallelujahs”).

Cohen comments on the new track:

‘Boat On A River’ is a very personal song for me. It’s about stepping away from the noise of life for a moment — knowing you’ll return refreshed and ready. It reflects my singer-songwriter roots and the kind of music that first inspired me.

The release comes as Cohen heads to the UK for a run of special performances, including appearances at the C2C Festival in London.

Cohen currently serves as a Board Member of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) and Inspired Nation Foundation. He is also founder of the Gotham Songwriter Festival and frontman of Pancho’s Lament.
