Songwriter and “itinerant troubadour” Tim Easton is releasing his 14th studio album,  fIREHORSE, right as the Chinese calendar enters the Year of the Fire Horse, the same sign Easton was born under in 1966. The cover art is a painting by Easton’s sister, visual artist Susan Easton Burns, and Easton wrote much of the album’s songs sitting beneath the painting.

Created “with zero artificial intelligence,” the album focuses on “perseverance, devotion to craft, and the stories collected across decades on the road.” Easton brings to his music his years as a European street musician, and his mentorship under Townes Van Zandt and Lucinda Williams. The album is out now on CD and LP on Easton’s own label, Campfire Propaganda and digitally via Guy Clark’s Truly Handmade Records.

Now going on three decades as a recording artist, Easton delivers another personal chapter in his ongoing journey with “songs of survival, resilience, and the unshakeable pull of the songwriting life.”
