Brooklyn-based independent Alt-Rock artist Moon Walker has announced his fifth record, Wasteland Country, due out May 1st, 2026. Alongside the announcement, the musician has released the acoustic track, “You’re Next”, alongside a video.

Moon Walker will take his live show on the road across the U.S. this spring and summer.

Taking a maximalist approach, to the new album Moon Walker’s Harry Springer applies cinematic string sections, stacked harmonies, guitar solos and dense arrangements across eleven tracks.

He comments on the album:

This album is everything that I enjoy, everything I do, and everything I am, to the highest possible extent. This is an album that I have been dreaming of making since I first discovered my favorite albums like ‘The Wall’ and ‘The Black Parade.’ As a singer, guitar player, producer, songwriter and instrumentalist this is my best foot forward in every possible way.

The song “You’re Next” expresses “active political dissent” and features a 12 string acoustic section, with string arrangements done by Martin Kutnar.

Moon Walker shares:

This is a moment where they particularly shine. Lyrically, it obviously invokes the famous Niemöller poem, ‘First They Came.’ It was also the song that took the least amount of time to write and record.

On the video, director Madison McConnell shares:

I wanted the video to feel like a public address—formal, controlled, and ominously calm—it’s meant to feel familiar, authoritative, and quietly unsettling. While it also is a glimpse into the WASTELAND COUNTRY world to come.

Moon Walker will bring Wasteland Country to the stage across the U.S. this spring and summer including up the East Coast in Brooklyn and Philadelphia in March, down through North Carolina and Florida. In April, the tour moves through Atlanta, New Orleans and two Texas shows before cutting through the Midwest including Indianapolis and Chicago. The final stretch will see a pair of California dates, Portland and Seattle and close with two Colorado stops in late June.
