Country music legend Tony Joe White has inspired “desert disco DJ mescaleros”, Flying Mojito Bros to create a new album.
The duo says:
Working from the rich musical seam of mid 1970s, early 1980s heritage artists lies at the very heart of our DJ and production work as Flying Mojito Bros. And we hold no one in higher esteem than The Swamp Fox himself, Mr. Tony Joe White.
Flying Mojito Bros and the Tony Joe White Estate have released “Alligator Stomp,” the first single from their upcoming project, The Swamp Fox, out March 13th, 2026.
Flying Mojito Bros, Ben Chetwood and Jack Sellen say about “Alligator Stomp”:
We distinctly remember being sat on the couch at Tony Joe White HQ in Nashville at the first of several late nights spent there with his son Jody listening to the phenomenal amount of archival reel-to-reel recordings—and he drops this badassness. We were thunderstruck. It was literally dream material right from the get-go.

Flying Mojito Bros will be spinning a special set at Nashville’s Skinny Dennis on March 14th to celebrate the release of The Swamp Fox.
